DJ Gray is a Chilean transport that moved to New Orleans at age 7, attended college in Los Angeles, then landed in San Francisco. With her mother being Chilean and her father Creole, she grew up playing piano, guitar and various ethnic records which all have had an influence in the mixes she creates now. Gray is inspired by the soulful grooves and Jazz of the 40’s, 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s, the funk, disco, and rock of the 70’s and 80’s, and the house beats of the 90’s to the present. Gray has been playing music for private events since 1998 and continues to create a fresh following in any city she plays, which supplements her large group of devoted fans. Gray keeps abreast on the latest vibes in electronic, house and hip hop to give her listeners a taste of the musical fusion she provides to make your body groove. Gray loves music for it’s ability to bring people together and be inclusive, and one of her strengths is pulling from a large range of musical styles to accommodate the tastes of the crowd.
